Universal Acceptance

Universal Acceptance is a foundational requirement for a truly multilingual Internet, one in which users around the world can navigate entirely in local languages. It is also the key to unlocking the potential of new generic top-level domains (gTLDs) to foster competition, consumer choice and innovation in the domain name industry. To achieve Universal Acceptance, Internet applications and systems must treat all TLDs in a consistent manner, including new gTLDs and internationalized TLDs. Specifically, they must accept, validate, store, process and display all domain names.

Учествовао је на бројним домаћим и међународним конференцијама из области интернет домена и ИКТ политика. Доктор је правних наука и аутор бројних стручних текстова.

Данко Јевтовић

члан Борда директора Интернет корпорације за додељене називе и бројеве (ICANN)
Данко је пионир интернета из Србије. Био је оснивачки и партнер у компанији СезамПро, једном од првих пружалаца интернет услуга у Србији, и иницијатор реформе у тадашњег домена .YU. Након тога, био је члан Управног одбора, а касније и извршни директор Регистра националног интернет домена Србије (.RS ccTLD). Осим тога, Данко је био члан Управног одбора CENTR-а (Удружењаевропских регистара националних интернет домена) i члан мултиактерског саветодавног тела UN IGF-a. Данко је експерт за дигитално управљање и политике. Дипломирао је менаџменту информационих система, Универзитету у Београду, стекао MBA на IEDC, Bled School of Management, Словенија, а сертификат корпоративног директора на INSEAD-у у Француској и NACD-у у САД-у. Данко је номинован за члана Управног одбора ICANN-а од стране Номинационог комитета 2018. године. Његов мандат ће истећи на Годишњој генералној скупштини 2024. године.

Сали Костертон

в.д. председнице и директорке ICANN-а

Сали је искусна глобална лидерка. Од 2012. године била је ангажована као виша саветница председника и вишег потпредседник за ангажовање глобалних заинтересованих страна (GSE), а тренутно обавља функцију в.д. председнице и извршне директорке ICANN-a. Одговорна је за међународне канцеларије ICANN-а и стратегију интернационализације. Њој су одговорни директори регионалних канцеларија и регионални потпредседници, као и потпредседници за Састанке и подршку јавној одговорности (PRS). Недавно је Сaли водила развојну фазу ICANN-ов грант програма, пројекат инфраструктуре за хитну подршку и досприносе ICANN-ових организација Одбору радне групе против узнемиравања. У оквиру функције GSE, води GSE тим и тим за Састанке и подршку јавној одговорности.

Пре придруживања ICANN-у, Сели је водила једну од највећих агенција за односе с јавношћу у Европи, Hill & Knowlton, као извршни директорка за EMEA region. У овој улози, била је одговорна за више од 1.000 запослених у 33 канцеларије. Током своје каријере, Сали је сарађивала са различитим међународним компанијама и лидерима са циљем да максимално искористе своје ресурсе и изграде снажне односе са заинтересованим странама. Искусна и на позицијама директора одбора, укључујући улоге председавајућег одбора.

Анил Кумар Жаин

директор CSC Wifi Choupal India; председавајући Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG);

Анил Кумар Јаин тренутно ради као COO CSC-a (Common Service Centre) Wi-fi Choupal. Био је извршни директор Националног интернет чворишта Индије (NIXI) од 2020. до 2023. године. Са 43 године радног искуства на различитим позицијама, Анил је стручњак за интернет, широкопојасне и телекомуникациони сектор. Неке од организација са којима је био повезан су BSNL, MTNL и Министарство електронике и информационих технологија Индије. Анил је био на одбору NIXI -ја више од 14 година.

На домаћем нивоу, био је председавајући IIGF-21 и IIGF-22 (Индијски форум за управљање интернетом), председавајући Вишејезичког одбора формираног од стране Владе Индије и члан Комитета за одрживост интернета формираног од стране Владе Индије. Интернационално је председавајући Управног одбора за Универзалну прихватљивост (UASG), био је заменик председавајућег радне групе IDNccPDP4 у оквиру ccNSO, председавајући радне групе IDN ccPDP4 подгрупе за конфузне сличности и подгрупе DS. Такође је био председавајући радне групе формиране за израду трогодишње стратегије за APTLD. Био је члан радне групе IDN EPDP ГСНО и везни официр између ccNSO и GNSO за ову радну групу. Говорио је на различитим догађајима организованим од стране ICANN-а, IGF-а и APTLD итд.

Циљ Анила је учинити интернет доступним и корисним сваком појединцу широм света, што укључује инклузиван раст интернета, лаку и континуирану доступност, приступачност посебно у најмање развијеним и развијеним нацијама.

Леонид Тодоров

генерални директор, Удружење регистара националних домена највишег нивоа азијско-пацифичког региона (APTLD)

Леонид Тодоров је магистрирао лингвистику на државном Педагошком универзитету у Москви и стекао дипломе постдипломских студија из међународних односа, менаџмента и лидерства у пословању, као и економије у Данској, Тајвану и САД-у.

Његово искуство обухвата рад у влади, приватном и академском сектору.

Године 2008. придружио се Координационом центру за .RU домен највишег нивоа као шеф сектора за међународне и односе са владом и допринео успешном покретању IDN ccTLD-ја .РФ на ћирилици и лансирању нових gTLD-ева .ДЕТИ (deca) i .TATAR.

У фебруару 2015. године именован је за генералног менаџера Удружење регистара националних домена највишег нивоа азијско-пацифичког региона (APTLD).

Леонидов фокус је на раду ccTLD-ева,IDN-овима, управљању интернетом, јавним политикама и међународној сарадњи у IKT области, као и на сајбер безбедности. Аутор је и коаутор бројних публикација о овим темама и ученсик различитих националних и међународних конференција.

Бану Неупане

UNESCO

Бхану Р. Неупане је образован у обастима хидросистема и управљања знањем. Тренутно ради за UNESCO као саветник за ИКТ и науку, отворена решења и вишејезичност у сајбер простору. Такође је ангажован у области отворених података и вештачке интелигенције, пре свега, радећи на унапређењу и повећању приступа научним подацима и информацијама. Учествује у пројектима који подржавају државе чланице у имплементацији иницијатива за управљање подацима. Поред тога, гостујући је професор и редовно предаје на теме управљања знањем, вишекритеријумског одлучивања, управљања водним ресурсима и смањења ризика од катастрофа. Такође је одговарн за UNESCO Препоруку из 2003. године о промоцији и коришћењу вишејезичности и универзалног приступа сајбер простору, која препознаје важност промовисања вишејезичности и равноправног приступа информацијама и знању, посебно у јавној сфери. Уверен је да би UNESCO требало да има водећу улогу у стимулисању приступа информацијама за све.

Михаил Анисимов

виши менаџер за глобалне односе са заједницом, ICANN

Михаил ради у области хостинга, регистрације домена и система јединствених идентификатора већ више од 14 година. Обављао је различите послове у највећим cloud и DNS провајдерима, као и регистрима и регистрима домена. Године 2013. као део Фондације за помоћ развоју интернет технологија и инфраструктуре, учествовао је у покретању TLD-ева .МОСКВА и .MOSCOW, а 2014. године придружио се тиму Координационог центра за .RU/.РФ где је био укључен о односе са медијима, организацију догађаја и међународне пројекте.

Михаил је био члан различитих удружења из индустрије. Такође је био укључен у организовање специјализованих конференција и форума о регистрацији домена, хостингу, интернет инфраструктури, управљање интернетом и сајбер -безбедности. Такође се бави образовним и просветним радом за студенте на тему инфраструктуре и безбедности информација корисника.

У 2020. години, Михаил се придружио Интернет корпорацији за додељене називе и бројеве (ICANN), где развија односе са различитим заинтересованим странама на истоку Европе и у Централној Азији.

Марија Колешњкова

руководећи аналитичар, Координациони центар за .ru/.рф

Марија Колешњкова ради у Координационом центру за TLD .RU/.РФ позицији руководиоца маркетинга, спољних односа и пројеката од 2007. године, са богатим искуством на пољу информационих технологија, комуникација и маркетинга. Од 2007. године Мариа је укључена у IDN/UA програме.Учествовала је у процесу за делегирање ћириличног ccTLD-a .РФ у периоду 2008-2009. године. Током 2012-2013. радила је на апликацијама и делегирању неколико нових gTLD-ева током првог круга програма ICANN New gTLDs. Током 2021. била је председница Радне групе за комуникације UA у UASG, а од 2019. је председница локалне иницијативе UA CIS-EE. Мариа је била говорница/предавач на бројним конференцијама, укључујући састанке ICANN-a, радионице CENTR-a и APTLD-a, регионалне и глобалне IGF форуме, Источноевропски DNS fорум, конференције групе за оператере мрежа у Еврoазији, TLDCON, итд. Такође је организовала различите регионалне и локалне догађаје у индустрији и управљању интернетом у Русији и Источној Европи.

Ана Каракањан

Ана Каракањан је члан Управног одбора НВО “Internet Community” од 2002. године.

Она је администратор Јерменског центра за информациону мрежу (AMNIC) за регистрацију домена .am/.հայ.

Након оснивања Института регистрара, осигурала је сарадњу НВО “Internet Community” са регистрима.

Учествовала је у оснивању НВО “Унија интернет корисника Јерменије” као представница интернет заједнице Јерменије.

Она је суорганизатор Регионалне координационе групе за универзално прихватање за CIS и Источну Европу.

Радила је у компанији “Arminco” LLC од њеног оснивања (1992).

Млађи истраживач Института за примењене аутоматизоване системе: 1986-1991. Успоставила је прву пакетну везу са глобалним мрежама користећи x.25 протокол.

Aнавин Понгсаборпат

помоћник директора, Фондација мрежни информациони центар Тајланда (THNIC)
Aнавин Понгсаборпат је је заменик директора Фондације Тајландске мрежне информационе централе (THNIC), која служи као центар за развој, промоцију и олакшавање употребе интернета у Тајланду, посебно коришћење националног домена највишег нивоа .th и .ไทย. Од 2021. године, Анавин доприноси UA пројектима и активно ради на промоцији свести о UAи спремности јавности и техничке заједнице. Анавин је дипломирао на Факултету за рачунарско инжењерство и има искуства у различитим областима информационих технологија (IT).

Волтер Ву

UA амбасадор, Chinese Domain Name Initiative, председник стратешких партнерстава и развоја пословања .商标 DotTrademark

Волтер живи у Пекингу, Кина. Он је суоснивач и председник регистра .商标, Internet DotTrademark Organisation Limited. “.商标” (iзговара се као “шанг биао”, што значи “.трејдмарк” у поједностављеним кинеским карактерима) је ICANN акредитовани IDN TLD лансиран 2014. године. .商标 није само IDN домен већ и гради поуздан симбол за изражавање права власника жига на интернету путем назива домена.

Волтер има преко 20 година искуства у индустрији назива домена, са каријером и на страни и регистра и регистрара назива домена. Рад на промоцији IDN-a уКини отпочео је још 2000. године када је био помоћник директора опште администрације у Центру за информациону мрежу интернета Кине (CNNIC).

Волтер је почео да се укључује у рад ICANN још од 2000. године. У мају 2019. године, именован је за UA амбасадора од стране UASG и активно учествује у активностима промоције IDN-а и побољшања UA у Кини.

Реџина Филипова Фучова

Industry Relations менаџер, EURid
Реџина Филипова Фучова се придружила EURid-у, регистру.eu, .ею и .ευ домена 2007. године. Обављала је различите послове – од регионалног менаџмента, односа са регистрима и развоја пословања, а такође је била укључена у увођење IDN-ова под.eu доменом 2009. Године, као и.eu домена на ћирилици и грчком. Године 2022. именована је за менаџера за односе с индустријом. Живи и ради у Прагу. Реџина је докторирала из међународних економских односа на Економском факултету у Прагу и магистрирала право. Такође је завршила постдипломски мастер програм из европских студија у Кремсу ан дер Донау, Аустрија.

Роберто Гаетано

EURALO

Роберто Гаетано је активан учесник у процесима доношења политика о интернету и при ICANN-у од 1997. године.

Шест година био је део Борда директора ICANN-а, доприносећи, између осталог, одлуци о увођењу IDN TLD-ева. Касније је провео шест година у Управном одбору PIR-а, учествујући у управљању IDN TLD-овима .org за четири различита писма.

Сада је Роберто укључен у At-Large, промовишући активности корисника у подршци Универзалној прихватљивости. Организује сесије на глобалном и регионалним IGF-овима о вишејезичности на интернету и подршци недовољно заступљеним заједницама.

Набил Бенамар

професор рачунарских наука, Moulay Ismail University of Meknes, Мароко: ко-председавајући UASG радне групе за мерења

Набил Бенамар је професор рачунарских наука. Тренутно обавља функцију потпредседника UASG-а и председника радне групе за мерење која промовише Универзалну прихватљивост свих валидних назива домена и адреса е-поште. Набил такође председава Радном групом за IDN са арапским писмом, тимом људи који раде на имплементацији арапског писма у DNS коренској зони.

Његовa главнa поља истраживања и истраживачки теме су мреже будуће генерације, аутономна вожња, Интернет ствари (IoT) и TinyML. Аутор је неколико чланака у часописима и IETF докумената за стандардизацију. Тренутно обавља функцију уредника сарадника у часопису “IEEE Access” (IF 3.4) i “Journal of King Saud University Computer & Information Sciences” (IF 9.0). Члан је техничког програма на високо рангираним IEEE конференцијама (Globecom, ICC, PIMRC, WCNC, итд.). Набил је био председавајући конференције IEEE MenaComm’20 и члан Организационог одбора конференција IEEE WCNC’2019 и IWCMC’23.

Набил је експерт за управљање интернетом и био је амбасадор ISOC-а на ИGF-u (2012. и 2013. године), панелиста Гугла на првом арапском IGF-u, ISOC стипендиста за IETF’89&92&95&99&103 и ICANN’50&54 стипендиста.

Вадим Михаилов

саветник за инфраструктуру, Координациони центар за .ru/.рф
Вадим Михаилов је консултант за инфраструктуру Координационог центра за TLD .RU/.РФ и пружа техничку експертизу за пројекат универзалне прихватљивости “Поддерживаю.РФ”. Вадим је укључен у тему универзалне прихватљивости од 2019. године и тренутно је активан члан ICANN ccNSO UAC-a, те активан у EAI, Measurement i Technology UASG радним групама. Вадим има значајно искуство у области информационих технологија, ИТ инфраструктуре и архитектуре, техничких и сигурносних подручја. Осим тога, био је говорник на бројним конференцијама, састанцима, радионицама, предавао је на водећим универзитетима у Руској Федерацији и био је део стручних тимова који су пружали подршку различитим техничким хакатонима. Вадим је аутор и коаутор бројних аналитичких студија и техничких чланака.

Арнт Гулбрандсен

виши менаџер за UA технологије, ICANN
Arnt дужи низ година развија linux/unix решења са стране сервера-бекенда. Пре него што се придружио ICANN-У, Арнт је радио у неколико стартапова и обављао самосталне делатности. Најпознатији такав стартап је GUI company (sada) назавана qt.io, где је Арнт радио на програмирању корисничког интерфејса, документацији, алатима, администрацији система и практично свему осталом што захтева тастатуру. Арнт је доприносио раду IETF-а од средине 1990-их година и до сада је написао једанаест RFC-ева и помогао у писању других. Већина RFC-ева се односи на е-пошту, неки на DNS. Арнт потиче из Норвешке и сада живи у Немачкој. Када није за својом посебно прављеном тастатуром,Арнт вози бицикл и плеше класичне плесове. Обожава да пише о себи у трећем лицу.

Душан Стојичевић

заменик председника Управног одбора РНИДС-а, директор маркетинга компаније Gransy
Био је дугогодишњи главни уредник часописа „Свет компјутера“, члан и председник УО РНИДС-а, председавајући Cyrillic Generation Panel-а при ICANN-у, члан Извршног одбора SEEDIG-а и Програмског одбора RIPE SEE. Био је и на функцији потпредседника Управљачке групе за Универзално прихватање (UASG), а сада је потпредседник УО РНИДС и директор маркетинга за Источну Европу у Грансију. Фокус његових активности је усмерен на IDN домене и проблематику универзалног прихватања свих језика и писама на интернету.

Сармад Хусеин

виши директор IDN и UA програма, ICANN
Сармад Хусеин је ангажован у ICANN-у на програмима за интернационализоване називе домена (IDN) и Универзалну прихватљивост (UA). Раније је био професор рачунарства и имао позицију председавајућег за вишејезично рачунарство IDRC-а. Његова истраживања била су посвећена развоју рачунарских решења за азијске језике, укључујући лингвистичка истраживања, локализацију, процесуирање говора и лингвистике примењене у рачунарству. Пре него што се придружио ICANN-у био је активан члан заједнице коју организација окупља и члан ICANN-овог Надзорног комитета за безбедност и стабилност (SSAC).

Нодумо Дламини

Удружење универзитета Африке (AAU), Гана
Нудомо Дламини је директорка ИКТ сервиса, комуникација и управљања знањем при Унији Афричких универзитета. Има више од 30 година радног искуства у следећим областима: образовање у средњим школама, банкарство, железнице, терцијарно пољопривредно образовање и више образовање. Радила је у Боцвани, Зимбабвеу, Уганди и сада Гани. Водила је више ИКТ пројеката при Афричком универзитету у Зимбабвеу у периоду између 1999. и 2008. године. Такође је водила иницијативе на ИКТ пољу за RUFORUM између 2009. и 2015. године. При Унији афричких универзитета води програме континенталне изградње капацитета за Дигиталне системе у развоју, Развој е-учења, Универзалне прихватљивости, Податка за више образовање, и Иновација у учењу, комуникацијама при истраживању и сарадњи. Афрички универзитети су јој велика страст.

Др Александра Смиљанић

професорка, Електротехнички факултет Универзитета у Београду, Србија

Др Александра Смиљанић је редовни професор на Електротехничком факултету у Београду. Држи наставу и бави се истраживањем у области интернет технологија. Објавила је већи број радова у врхунским међународним часописима на тему интернет рутера и других мрежних технологија,  и учествовала на великом броју националних и међународних конференција. Аутор је или коаутор десет међународних патената. Држи наставу из предмета Основи и примена интернета, Интернет програмирање, Мрежна безбедност и Архитектура свичева и рутера. Александра Смиљанић је потпредседник Академије инжењерских наука Србије. Била је министар за телекомуникације и информационо друштво од 2007 до 2008. Радила је у америчком телекомуникационом оператеру AT&T Labs Research у периоду 1999-2004.

Немања Радосављевић је асистент професор на Школи рачунарства у Београду (RAF), где предаје компјутерске комуникације, веб-системе и Интернет ствари (IoT). Докторирао је из области рачунарског инжењерства 2021. године.

Познат по свом ангажованом наставном стилу, др Радосављевић објашњава комплексне теме као што су компјутерске комуникације на једноставан начин. Студенти цене његове иновативне методе које чине учење забавним и интересантним.

Поред наставе, др Радосављевић игра водећу улогу као продекан за наставу на Школи рачунарства. На овој позицији помаже у планирању образовних програма, осигуравајући да студенти добију свеобухватно и ажурирано образовање из рачунарства.
Др Радосављевић такође учествује у истраживању и доприноси помацима у области рачунарског инжењерства. Његов рад користи не само академској заједници, већ и инспирише студенте да истражују своје сопствене истраживачке интересе.

Dejan Đukić

CEO, Serbian National Internet Domain Registry Foundation (RNIDS)

RNIDS CEO, working with the Registry since 2008, focusing on legal matters related to national internet domain names registration and participating in the development of policies and rules for the .RS and .СРБ internet domains. Participated in numerous domestic and international conferences on internet domains and ICT policies. Holds a phd in law and has authored numerous papers related to his area of expertise.

Danko Jevtović

Member of Board of Directors, Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN)

Danko is an Internet pioneer from Serbia. He was a founding partner in SezamPro, one of the first ISPs in Serbia and an initiator of reform in the then .YU country code top level domain (ccTLD). Subsequently, he was a member of the Board of Governors and later the Chief Executive Officer of the Serbian Internet Domain Names Registry (.RS ccTLD). In addition, Danko was a board member of CENTR (Association of European ccTLD registries) and a member of the UN IGF Multistakeholder Advisory Group. Danko is a digital governance and policy expert. He holds a BA in Management of Information Systems from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, an Executive MBA from the IEDC, Bled School of Management, Slovenia, and he is a certified corporate director by INSEAD France and USA NACD. Danko was nominated to serve on the ICANN Board by the Nominating Committee in 2018. His term will expire at the Annual General Meeting 2024.

Sally Costerton

President and Interim CEO, ICANN

Sally is an experienced global leader. She has served as Senior Advisor to the President and Senior Vice President, Global Stakeholder Engagement (GSE) since 2012, and is also currently serving as ICANN’s Interim President and Chief Executive Officer. In her role, she is responsible for ICANN’s international offices and internationalization strategy. Her direct reports include the regional office managing directors and regional vice presidents, as well as the vice presidents of Meetings and Public Responsibility Support (PRS). Most recently, Sally led the development phase of the ICANN Grant Program, the Emergency Support Infrastructure Project and ICANN organization’s contributions to the Anti-Harassment Board Working Group. Under the GSE function, she leads the GSE, Meetings, and Public Responsibility Support teams.

Prior to joining ICANN, Sally led one of Europe’s largest public relations firms, Hill & Knowlton, as EMEA CEO. In this role, she was responsible for more than 1,000 staff members in 33 offices. Throughout her career, Sally has worked with diverse international companies and senior leaders to maximize their resources and build strong relationships with their stakeholders. She is an experienced Board Director, including roles as Board Chair.

Anil Kumar Jain

CEO of CSC Wifi Choupal India; Chair, Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG);

Anil Kumar Jain is currently working as Chief Operating Officer of CSC (Common Service Centre) Wi-fi Choupal. He served as CEO of National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) from 2020 to 2023. Having spent 43 years in various roles. Mr. Anil is an expert in internet, broadband and telecom sectors. Some of the organizations he was associated are BSNL, MTNL and the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Electronics and IT, India. Anil was on the board of NIXI for over 14 years.

Domestically, he was Chair of IIGF-21 and IIGF-22 (India Internet Governance Forum), Chairman of Multilingual Committee formed by Govt. of India and member of Internet Resilience Committee formed by Govt. of India. Internationally he is Chair of Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG), Was Vice Chair of IDNccPDP4 Working Group of ccNSO, he was Chair of IDN ccPDP4 confusing similarity sub working group and DS sub-group. He was also Chair of Working Group formed to design strategies for three years for APTLD. He was also member of IDN EPDP Working Group of GSNO and was Liaison officer between ccNSO and GNSO for this Working Group. He is speaker at various events organized by ICANN, IGF and APTLD etc.

Aim of Anil is to make the internet accessible and beneficial to every individual globally, which include inclusive growth of Internet with easy accessibility, always available, affordable and helpful specially in least developed and developing nations.

Leonid Todorov

General Manager, Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association (APTLD)

Leonid Todorov earned his M.A. in Linguistics from Moscow State Pedagogical and completed postgraduate studies in international relations, management and business leadership, and economics in Denmark, Taiwan and the US.
His background includes work for the government, private sector and academic activities.

In 2008, he joined the Сoordination Сenter for .RU top level domain as Head of Government and International Relations and contributed to the successful launch of the Cyrillic-script IDN ccTLD .РФ and the launch of new gTLDs . ДЕТИ (kids) and .TATAR.

In February 2015, he was appointed as General Manager of the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association (APTLD).

Leonid’s focus is on ccTLDs’ operations, IDNs, Internet governance, public policy and international cooperation in the ICT area, and cybersecurity. He has authored and co-authored a number of publications on these issues, and presented at various national and international events.

Bhanu R. Neupane

UNESCO

Bhanu R. Neupane is trained in Hydrosystems and Knowledge Management. Currently he is working for UNESCO as an Advisor for ICT and Sciences, Open Solutions and Multilingualism in the cyberspace. He is also working in the area of Open Data and Artificial Intelligence essentially to improve and increase access to scientific data and information. He works in projects that supports member states implement on data governance initiatives. He also serves as a visiting professor and regularly teaches courses related to knowledge Management, Multi-criteria Decision-Making, Water Resources management, and Disaster Risk Reduction at Universities. He is also responsible for UNESCO’s 2003 Recommendation concerning the Promotion and Use of Multilingualism and Universal Access to Cyberspace, which recognizes the importance of promoting multilingualism and equitable access to information and knowledge, especially in the public domain, and reiterating its conviction that UNESCO should have a leading role in encouraging access to information for all.

Mikhail Anisimov

Senior Manager Global Stakeholder Engagement, ICANN

Mikhail has been working in the field of hosting, domain registration, and unique identifiers system for more than 14 years. He has held various positions in the largest cloud and DNS providers as well as registries and registrars of domain names. In 2013, as part of the Foundation for Assistance to the Development of Internet Technologies and Infrastructure, he took part in the launch of the TLDs .МОСКВА and .MOSCOW. In 2014, he joined the Coordination Center for .RU / .РФ domains’ team, where he was involved in the press service, organization of industry events, and international projects.

Mikhail was a member of various industry associations. He has also been involved in organizing specialized conferences and forums on domain registration, hosting, Internet infrastructure, Internet governance and cybersecurity. He also conducts educational and outreach work for students on the topic of infrastructure and user information security.

In 2020, Mikhail joined the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Internet Addresses (ICANN), where he develops relationships with various stakeholders in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Maria Kolesnikova

Chief Analyst, Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ

Maria Kolesnikova has been working for Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ as a head of marketing, external relations and projects since 2007. Maria has a wide range of experience in information technologies, communications and marketing.

Since 2007 Maria is being involved in IDN/UA Programs. She participated in Fast Track Process for delegation of Cyrillic ccTLD .РФ in 2008-2009. In 2012-2013 she worked on applications and delegation of several New gTLDs during the first round of ICANN New gTLD Program. In 2021 she was a Chair of UA Communications Working Group at UASG. At the moment she is a Chair of CIS-EE UA Local Initiative (since 2019).

Maria has been a speaker/presenter at numerous conferences, including ICANN meetings, CENTR and APTLD workshops, regional and global IGF forums, Eastern European DNS Forum, Eurasia Network Operators’ Group conferences, TLDCON, etc. She has also managed various regional and local industry and Internet Governance events in Russia and Eastern Europe.

Anna Karakhanyan

Anna Karakhanyan has been a member of the board of “Internet Community” NGO since 2002.

She is an administrator of the Armenian Network Information Center (AMNIC) of the .am/.հայ domain names Registry .

After the establishment of the Institute of Registrars, ensured the cooperation of “Internet Community” NGO with Registrars.

Participated in the founding of the NGO “Union of Internet Users of Armenia” as a representative of the Internet community of Armenia.
She is a Co-chair of Universal Acceptance Regional Coordination Group of CIS and Eastern Europe.

She has worked at “Arminco” LLC since it’s establishment (1992).
Junior researcher of the Institute of Applied Automated Systems: 1986-1991. Established the first packet connection with global networks using x.25 protocol.

Anawin Pongsaboripat

Assistant Director, Thai Network Information Center (THNIC) Foundation

Anawin Pongsaboripat is the Assistant Director at the Thai Network Information Center (THNIC) Foundation, which serves as a center to develop, promote and facilitate Internet usage in Thailand, especially the use of the .th (dot Th) and .ไทย (dot Thai) country code top-level domains (ccTLDs). Since 2021, Anawin has contributed to UA projects, and actively worked to promote UA awareness and readiness to the public and technical community. Anawin received degrees in Computer Engineering and has experience in various Information Technology (IT) fields.

Walter Wu

UA Ambassador and Chinese Domain Name Initiative, President of Strategic Partner and Business Development .商标 DotTrademark Organisation

Walter lives in Beijing, China. He is the co-founder and president for the registry of.商标，Internet DotTrademark Organisation Limited. The“.商标” (pronounced as “Shang Biao”, means “.trademark” in simplified Chinese characters) is the ICANN accredited IDN TLD launched in 2014. Dot Shangbiao is not only an IDN domain name but also builds a trusted symbol for expressing a trademark holder’s rights online through a domain name.

Walter has over 20 years’ experience in domain name industry. His career covers both the domain name registry and registrar side. Walter began the IDN promotion work in China since year of 2000 when he served as the Assistant Director General at China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC).

Walter began to get involved in ICANN back to year of 2000. Since May 2019, he was appointed as UA Ambassador by UASG and now actively participates into the promotion activities of IDN and UA improvement in China.

From 2006 to 2014, Mr.Wu was the co-founder and president of NameRich, a domain name service provider, including domain name registration, domain name trading and domain name parking, etc.

Regina Fuchsova

Industry Relations Manager, EURid

Regina Filipová Fuchsová has joined EURid, the .eu, .ею and .ευ registry, in 2007. She went through different roles in regional, registrar relations and business development management and was also involved in the introduction of IDNs under .eu in 2009 as well as the .eu in Cyrillic and Greek. In 2022, she was appointed the Industry Relations Manager. She is based in Prague. She holds a PhD in International Economic Relations from the University of Economics in Prague and a master degree in law. She also completed a post-graduate master programme in European studies in Krems an der Donau, AT.

Roberto Gaetano

EURALO

Roberto Gaetano has been an active participant in the Internet and the ICANN policy making process since 1997.

He has served six years on the ICANN Board contributing, inter alia, to the decision to introduce the IDN TLDs. Later he has served six years on the PIR Board participating to the management of the IDN TLDs of .org in four different scripts.

Now Roberto is involved in At-Large promoting user activities in support of Universal Acceptance as well as organizing sessions in the Global and Regional IGF about multilingualism in the Internet and the support of underserved communities

Nabil Benamar

Professor of Computer Sciences at Moulay Ismail University of Meknes, Morocco; Vice Chair, UASG Measurement Working Group

Nabil Benamar is a Professor of Computer Sciences. He is currently serving as the vice chair of the UASG and chair of the measurement WG promoting the Universal Acceptance of all valid domain names and email addresses. Nabil is also chairing the Task Force for Arabic Script IDNs, a team of people working on the implementation of the Arabic script in the DNS Root Zone.

His main research topics are Future Generation Networks, Autonomous Driving, IoT, and TinyML. He is the author of several journal papers and IETF Standard documents. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor of the “IEEE Access” journal (IF 3.4) and the “Journal of King Saud University Computer & Information Sciences (IF 9.0). He is a TPC member of highly ranked IEEE Flagship conferences (Globecom, ICC, PIMRC, WCNC, etc..) Nabil served as the chair of IEEE MenaComm’20 conference and as a member of the Organizing Committee of IEEE WCNC’2019 and IWCMC’23.

Nabil is an expert in Internet Governance and he was an ISOC Ambassador to IGF(2012 and 2013), Google panelist in the first Arab-IGF, ISOC fellow to IETF’89&92&95&99&103 and ICANN’50&54 fellow.

Vadim Mikhailov

Infrastructure consultant, Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ

Vadim Mikhaylov is an Infrastructure consultant of Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and he provides technical expertise for Universal Acceptance project “Поддерживаю.РФ”. Vadim is being involved in Universal Acceptance theme since 2019 and at the moment he is an active member of ICANN ccNSO UAC and participating in EAI, Measurement and Technology Working Groups of UASG. Vadim has got significant experience related to information technologies, IT infrastructure and architecture, technical and security areas. Moreover, he was a speaker at numerous conferences, meetings, workshops, he has lectured at leading universities in the Russian Federation and he was a part of expert teams providing support of different technical hackathons. Vadim is an author and co-author of number analytical studies and technical articles.

Arnt Gulbrandsen

UA Technology Senior Manager, ICANN

Arnt is a longtime linux/unix developer who’s worked mostly on the server/backend area. Before joining ICANN, Arnt worked in several startups and did some contracting. The best-known is a GUI company (now) called qt.io where Arnt worked on GUI programming, documentation, tooling, system adminstration and basically everything else that needs a keyboard. Arnt has been an IETF contributor since the middle 1990s and has written eleven RFCs by now, and helped with more. Most of the RFCs have to do with email, some with the DNS. Arnt comes from Norway, and now lives in Germany. Away from his custom-made keyboard, Arnt rides his bicycle and dances ballroom dances. He looooves writing about himself in the third person.

Dušan Stojičević

Dušan Stojičević was for many years editor-in-chief of “Svet kompjutera” (World of Computers) magazine, a member and Chair of the RNIDS BoG, Chair of the Cyrillic Generation Panel at ICANN, a member of the SEEDIG Executive Committee and a member of the RIPE SEE Programme Committee. He has also served as Vice-Chair of the Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG) and is now Vice-Chair of the RNIDS BoG and Marketing Director for Eastern Europe at Gransy. The focus of his activities is on IDN domains and the issues surrounding universal acceptance of all languages and scripts on the Internet.

Sarmad Hussain

Senior Director IDN and UA Programs, ICANN

Sarmad Hussain is with ICANN’s Internationalized Domain Names (IDN) and Universal Acceptance (UA) Programs. Earlier, Sarmad was a professor of Computer Science and held the IDRC Chair in Multilingual Computing. His research has focused on developing computing solutions for Asian languages, including research in linguistics, localization, speech processing and computational linguistics. He has been an active member of the ICANN community and a member of ICANN’s Security and Stability Advisory Committee (SSAC), before joining ICANN.

Nodumo Dhlamini

Association of African Universities (AAU) Ghana

Ms Nodumo Dhlamini is the Director of ICT Services, Communications and Knowledge Management at the Association of African Universities. She has over thirty years working experience in the following sectors – secondary school education, banking, railway transport, tertiary agricultural education and higher education. She has worked in Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Uganda and now Ghana. She has led the various ICT-related projects at Africa University, Zimbabwe from 1999 to 2008. Also led ICT related initiatives for RUFORUM between 2009 and 2015. At the AAU she runs continental capacity building programs for Developing Digital Systems, E-learning Development, Universal Acceptance, Data for higher education, and Innovations in Teaching, Research Communication and Collaboration. She is passionate about African Universities.

Dr. Aleksandra Smiljanić

Professor, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia

Dr. Aleksandra Smiljanić is a full professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade. She teaches and conducts researches in the field of internet technologies. She has published numerous papers in top international journals on topics such as internet routers and other network technologies, as well as presented at many national and international conferences. She is the author or co-author of ten international patents. Dr. Smiljanić teaches courses in Internet Fundamentals and Applications, Internet Programming, Network Security, and Switching and Routing Architecture. Aleksandra Smiljanić is the Vice President of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of Serbia. She served as the Minister for Telecommunications and Information Society from 2007 to 2008. She worked at the American telecommunications operator AT&T Labs Research from 1999 to 2004. She earned her Ph.D. in the field of telecommunications networks from Princeton University in the USA.

Nemanja Radosavljevic

Vice Dean for Education, School of Computing, Union University in Belgrade, Serbia

Nemanja Radosavljevic is an Assistant Professor at the School of Computing in Belgrade, where he teaches computer communications, web systems, and Internet of Things (IoT). He earned his Ph.D. in computer engineering in 2021.

Known for his engaging teaching style, Dr. Radosavljevic makes complex subjects like computer communications easy to understand. Students appreciate his innovative methods that make learning fun and interesting.

Aside from teaching, dr Radosavljevic takes on a leadership role as the Vice Dean for Education at the School of Computing. In this position, he helps plan educational programs, ensuring students receive a comprehensive and up-to-date education in computing.

Dr Radosavljevic is also involved in research, contributing to the latest advancements in computer engineering. His work not only benefits the academic community but also inspires students to explore their own research interests.
